I have been witness in past 23 years to the change in the way we eat. We are eating like the Americans ate in the 70s and 80s — fast food, processed food and too much food.

At a time when there is a food movement in the US opening up people’s eyes to the perils of fast and processed food, India regresses by adding more convenience foods to their diets. Unfortunately this change in diet comes at price — obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and orthopedic problems are more common than any other time in our history.

As a freelancer I tried to approach various magazines and newspapers with scientifically based stories about how the foods we eat are affecting our health, but all publications shied away from any stories that may affect advertising revenue. RealfoodIndia does not depend on ads by food corporations and is able to tell the truth about the food we eat.
